Internet Governance Forum 2010

Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is a unified platform which aims at discussing the current and important issues of the Internet across the world. It was established in 2006 when the Tunis Agenda for the Information Society invited the Secretary-General of the United Nations to set up a new forum to stimulate open policy dialogue on issues of Internet Governance.
IGF invites the participants across the Globe on its annual meeting. Participants represent the governments, multinational organizations, Internet service providers, telecommunication companies, civil society and the media. Participants discuss on the multifaceted public policy issues  and share their opinions and experiences related to Internet governance. The meeting helps to bring the people from different backgrounds and territories to a common understanding.

The fifth annual IGF Meeting will be held in Vilinius, Lithuania, on 14-17 September 2010.

In order to facilitate the participation of professionals from across the world, IGF secretariat provides the opportunity to create remote participation hubs. The remote hub connects the participants across the world. Through this remote hub participants will be able to watch and listen to the proceedings of the IGF and also to discuss the issues covered  by IGF.
In Pakistan, NUST SEECS in collaboration with Internet Society (ISOC) Pakistan Chapter is establishing remote participation hub for fifth annual IGF Meeting at NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Sector H-12, Islamabad. An open invitation is given to all likely participants interested in attending the IGF 2010 and accumulating necessary experience and knowledge about the International Internet governance issues. How to write strcutured abstracts

Structured abstracts Emerald introduced structured abstracts to all journals in 2005. This development was undertaken as part of the strategy of continuous improvement in the delivery and dissemination of papers. Use of structured abstracts ensures that better information is supplied and that there is more consistency across the journals and database. Ultimately, readers and researchers searching the database are more likely to access the paper when the abstract provides useful information. In the past, author-written abstracts were very variable both in terms of content and quality. Structured abstracts ensure we no longer have this problem.  In an electronic environment, abstracts are more important that they have ever been. Sometimes this “snippet” is the only thing a reader or researcher will see and it is the one chance we have of persuading them to download the full text of the paper. Structured abstracts act like signposts, they provide: Consistency and clarity. Much ea...
