DR KASHIF UR REHMAN


Dr. Kashif Ur Rehman was born in Chaman Pakistan. He completed his preliminary education from Quetta. He holds a B.Sc degree from university of Balochistan. Dr. Kashif Ur Rehman earned Doctorate degree in Business Administration from Philippines School of Business Administration Manila in 1997 when he was 26 years old. He joined Bahria University as Assistant Professor in 2000. Currently he is connected with Iqra University Islamabad as Associate Professor. He initiated MS / Ph.D program at Iqra University Islamabad. Dr. Kashif Ur Rehman is an approved supervisor of Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan. He has supervised 10 Ph.D and 14 M.Phil scholars successfully in the field of business administration. He has supervised 58 independent studies as MS / Ph.D level. Dr. Kashif Ur Rehman has more than eighty (80) research papers  published in international journals. Out of these, eighteen (18) papers have been published in ISI-impact factor journals. He is a reviewer of three international ISI journals. Dr. Kashif Ur Rehman has organized two international research conferences at Iqra University, first in April 2008 and second in January 2010. Dr. Kashif Ur Rehman has travelled to several countries to attend international conferences. He has conducted several seminars on research methods in National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) Quetta, Ministry of Health Islamabad and several universities. Dr. Kashif has conducted several workshops on Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and AMOS. He has been providing consultancy services to development sector organizations. Currently hi is part time associated with AMRIC Research international as Director Research and Capacity Building.

RELIABILITY

Ideally, the measurements that we take with a scale would always replicate perfectly. However, in the real world there are a number of external random factors that can affect the way that respondents provide answers to a scale. A particular measurement taken with the scale is therefore composed of two factors: the theoretical "true score" of the scale and the variation caused by random factors. Reliability is a measure of how much of the variability in the observed scores actually represents variability in the underlying true score. Reliability ranges from 0 to 1. In psychology it is preferred to have scales with reliability greater than 0.7. The reliability of a scale is heavily dependent on the number of items composing the scale. Even using items with poor internal consistency, you can get a reliable scale if your scale is long enough.
